Hey guys,
I recently bought a 02 sv650s with Renthal bars already attached(see pic). I'm going to tidy those cables up soon as they're pretty ugly and in the way at the moment. ![]() Now i was just wondering if i ever decided to convert this to naked would i need to change the bars and all the cables that people seem to have trouble with in regards to the standard bars? This work was done before the person i bought the bike from had it so he had no idea either. Also, how easy is it to revert back to the stock bars if i ever decided to do that? Thanks. |

You will need the standard throttle cables as a minimum as you will probably have lengthened cables fitted , Brake lines can stay the same .

It was probably a stupid question but just wanted clarification that i wouldn't have to change bars and certain cables to go naked streetfighter when that time comes. Thanks mate. |

No , that is if you want to go back to Clip-On bars , making the bike into a naked you wouldn`t need to do anything to it from your setup you have there .

Man , have you seen the amount of stuff the front fairing hides ? Once you commit yourself to tidying stuff up you are going to have to make sure it is a very tidy job . Dominator lights ... hmmm , can`t remember but somewhere in the past I remember somebody mentioning about heat build up in these "Streetfighter" type lights so make sure it can take what the SV chucks out , I`m sure it will be ok but just make sure . In answer to adding a Vapour system I have seen threads (not necessarily on here) where there was a diagram for taking power etc from the SV loom and it didn`t look too hard or messy . Try the search feature on here , sure I saw it somewhere back in the mists of time
