Anyone know the base settings for the forks on a GSXR750 SRAD?
I've not ridden the SV in anger since the front end swap. But i would like to check the settings on the forks. So how many twiddles from fully in etc. Ta

No point going for stock base settings on unknown forks. Stock is somewhere like 1 1/8 turns out.

Strange, I tried to edit that and it just put it back how it was.
Set it for 20mm of static sag, 1.25 on comp and 1 on rebound and ride it.

Stock SRAD setting are 4 rings of preload, Rebound 1 1/8 turn out and Compression 1 turn out.
I started off with these on the basis that you've got to start somewhere, but they were pretty horrible on the SV. Not as terrible as stock ZX10R setting on the rear shock though. ![]() Go with YC's suggestion and set sag first. I've got everything out a bit further than the stock SRAD settings and it's much nicer. Still a work in progress as I can't seem to leave the bike in one piece for very long. ![]() |

Cheers for the answers.
Just need to do a bit of searching to set the sag as I've never needed to do I before

Unload front end and measure amount of chrome showing. Say this is 115mm
Then put weight of bike onto it, give it a wiggle, measure again. Add preload until this measurement is 115-x. I'd go 20mm static sag, so in this example you'd want to get the amount of chrome showing to 95mm.

I have a confession - I'm a div.
![]() I've just realised I'd set up my ZX10R shock with standard SRAD shock settings. Funnily enough, that's no good. When will these manufacturers get their act together? ![]() After much trial and error I'm now not a million miles away from the actual Kwak settings. |
