Hi Y`all

got an SV1000 Q`

I Sold my SV650 a few weeks back and have now realised I want another..

I`m looking @ an SV1000, now i know they are juicier and have more power etc (obviously) but what else is there to expect? I used to have a curvy Naked and am looking @ another naked.

Thanks

Fully adjustable suspension, bigger tyres & (as you stated) more power & more torque

I had a 650 Curvy & then got a Thou' as I wanted to do more touring

The differences between a 650 & Thou' come down to frame, engine, swinging arm, wheels & brake. The fairing, lights, rear subframe, pegs & mirrors are both the same

Just completely different animal. Lots more immediate grunt, completely different handling. None of the lightness and small feeling the 650 has.

I don't think they are too bad actually. There is a poll on the sv-portal and the majority of people are getting 40-50mpg which isn't unreasonable for a 1 liter bike.

Dry weight is about 20kg more than the 650, but it does at least have half decent suspension and brakes. I did consider an SV1000, but with the bargain price of Aprilia RSV's the SV didn't look like such a great deal. The last bikes with the GSX-R colours do like nice though.

not much point getting a 1000 unless its fully faired,as your only going get longer arms neckache and blown off the back of the bike
