Ive bought myself some panniers, and I managed to get them home on the bike without them falling off...
I have no idea as to fitting them correctly.. Ive got one velcro strap all joined up under the seat.. and two above the seat.. then Im left with some other straps which I cant fathom a use for at the moment... so I ended up just bungy cording the thing until it wouldnt move! Plus i take it there are hard bottoms to put in them as well ? Thats what I take the cardboard stuff is for ?? Cheers! |

theres instructions in there some where.
The other straps can be used to tie onto the pillion pegs or grab rail if I remeber rightly. |

There is no specific place for the other straps. It's a matter of finding somewhere above or below the bike to secure them to so that they dont vibrate and rub paint work. Once tied, the bungies do a great job of tensioning the whole lot up (once again, from anywhere to anywhere).
So fit it all as tight as poss. |

Make sure you have the 'blunt' end facing forward
The more pointy end goes to the rear, and keeps the pannier off the exhaust once it's loaded. I puit mine on back to front to start with - soon noticed as it sagged when loaded & touched the exhaust ![]() The other straps are as the guys say - just tie them round anything solid to keep the whole lot stable |

I'd consider getting some of that black non-slip stuff to wrap round the tail unit/where the straps will go.
I found little stones and road grit get flung up between the pannier and the bodywork and over a long distance this can rub. |

I find that I don't need bungies to hold down when loaded, but they are a must when riding with empty bags as then bounce around when light.
