Default fitting a sv1000 rear tyre on an sv650?

Firstly can I say hello . . . . HELLO!! This is my first post on this forum since signing up. Iv browsed it a few times though. I passed my DAS 3 months ago and own an sk9 sv650s, Black.

My question is, is it possible to fit an sv1000 rear wheel and tyre on the back end of an sv650. So basically having the 180 rear tyre instead of a 160?? I readsomewhere that it is possible to get a kit??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Si

It is possible to fit a 180 rim to an SV
Contact Zadar (on here) or email him through TWF http://www.twfracing.com/zparts.html

Why wanting to do the change for?

Sticking a 120/70 on the front and playing with the suspension has same effect

im sure ive heard there is some modification needed to the swingarm for the sv1000 wheel but im positive you can fit a 180 tyre on, im running a 170 avon storm and ive taken all chicken strips off it and if i went over any further, my elbow would be down haha

the stock tyre is fine, dont bother putting a bigger tyre on the stock rim, if your going to do it then change the whole wheel

personally im considering putting some RSV wheels on if they will fit

the SV runs the older 120/60 fitment, which is now starting become old hat.
The 120/70 is designed for 170/55 tyres and wider (thus lower profiles) on the rear.

Also a plus point the 120/70 tyres are about 10% cheaper than the 120/60's and are always in stock
