Ive recently had a new Pilot power on the rear. Its done about 1k. My front is a pilot road and getting pretty low. Obviously the roads a harder compound, and i have seen a pilot sport on ebay. Has anyone had any experiences with the pilot sport? And would anyone advise agains matching the rear power to the sport? Thanks in advance!

Nope. I mixed the tyres fine a couple of times. Didn't really notice a massive difference. I'd personally go for it.

I mix makes and models of tyres all the time, sometimes with good results, sometimes not so good. It will depend a bit on what you use your bike for. For 99.9% of road riding then just about anything that is black and round on each end works fine, but if you do like to push a little bit harder then clearly you will be going into territory where one make or compound might work a little bit differently to another. What do you do with your bike?

Thanks for the replies. I commute, but mainly i enjoy a good exuberant ride at the weekend. I was pushing a bit harder today on a roundabout and the front suddenly became twitchy. The tyre is my first port of call, but i've noticed a very slight knock through the handlebars the last couple of days when braking. So headstock bearing adjustment/replacement maybe required? Hopefully not the latter!

Regarding the knock, i think its forks knocking or brake disc bobbins..
