Default Fears of rough justice

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/au...risons-justice

The liberal, wet, Guardian fear that some rioters may suffer harshly when before the courts. There is a concern that the social reports for some offenders may not paint the full story.

Words fail me!

I thought rioting and looting was a serious offence??? Maybe people should boycott the Guardian, then maybe they'd get the message...

Indeed I heard on the radio yesterday that courts were counting it as

disturbance of the peace

rather than

Criminal damage.

How on earth can this be so. The country as it stands is so wrapped up in how to nanny people, that these generations are getting away with anything and everything they can.
People of my generation or above, in general are hard working citizens who add to society, who believe, do something wrong expect to have to deal with it.. Those below have been nannied and left to pretty much run riot(scuse the pun), think they can get away with anything, if they do wrong, can't even muster up an apology. Just stifle smirks and two fingers
So many discussions in the house of Dizz for year upon year has always pointed to parents/teachers not being able to discipline properly, laws relaxed, sentences lessened.....and now when there is a total breakdown in respect, society and everything else.

You know when folk say...eeee there should be a civil war? Well even that can't happen properly! These people are uneducated, mollycuddled pillocks who wouldn't know how to start an interview let alone, give out their correct name in court.

Meh.....its all disgusting. Maybe I should move to Cyprus and hide up the Troodos mountain in the monastry!

Aye, tough ****, should have thought about that before you went out with the intention of causing trouble, instead of either watching it on telly, or going outside and defending your property like any normal person.

Send 'em all to prison and publicise the sentences as a deterrent to those who may think of doing the same the next time there is a demonstration or unrest over something.

meh, i don't have much sympathy for the little neds. they willingly participated in the violence and looting so they can participate in the consequences now. if some poor sod gets 8 months for stealing 6 bottles of water then, in the words of the great nelson muntz, haw!haw!

I like the way that the magistrates have been running all night...one of the things that really bugs me about our normal criminal justice system is the way it usually takes months for a suspect to be taken to court and then punished. I think justice is most effective when it is doled out in close proximity to the crime that was committed.

delaying it only reduces the impact of the punishment, costs the country more cash and allows feral scumbags freedom to commit more crimes whilst they are waiting to be tried on the initial one.

hopefully the magistrates will continue all night sittings to get through the backlog of day to day cases once the rioters are dealt with.

certainly stop buying the paper version of the guardian (lots of people have recently judging by their circulation figures) but it's great fun going on the guardian website (CIF) and winding up the leftists and ridiculing their wrong headed ideas.

Rough justice?

How about we go take a couple of guardian reporters out back and kick seven shades of vegetable sh*te out of them, might put "rough" in perspective then eh.

I want to see this extend from this current situation.

Cops using baton rounds to take down cyclists who run red lights down would be a good start.

Then fine them, with added amount for the cost of the round...
