Default Gear Change Lever

I have a 54 plate SV650, i dropped it recently resutling in a bent gear change lever. Not really an issue so i bought one off ebay (at a good price) but upon trying to fit the part i discovered that the hole is too small the put the foot peg through and thus i can't fit the new lever. The description on ebay states that the part was suitable for 04-10 so am thinking they ahve sent the wrong part. The foot pegs look like OEM pegs so not sure where to go from here.

Any advice would be welcome

Following my previous post i contacted the seller on ebay. It turns out that i require an 03 part not an 04, although i am now confused because according to the DVLA records my bike was built and registed in 2004. Confused now!!

Have a look at your V5 & see what it puts the model down as - mines an 03 plate but is actually SV650 K2. If it's K3 you'd need 03 parts

It could be a late registered K3 (or SK3 if it's faired), in which case alot of the parts will differ from the later bikes.

Check the VIN plate on the frame. The tenth digit is the model year. If it's 3 it's a 2003/K3. If it's 4 it's a 2004/K4.

depending on how much you paid and if the seller wont accept a return, gives a PM if you are selling it.
