on the bike the other day and the engine started to run like a bag of nails, really badly mis-firing and spluttering, eventually conked out and i had to wait about 10 minutes before it would reluctantly start again.
now i got it home after a very un-nerving ride full of spluttering and banging and popping and some exhaust flame, i took it apart and checked plugs, they seemed alrite but i changed them anyway. new plugs bought and gaps checked, put in and try to start it, and its just the starter motor turning the engine over but not firing at all. i took the plugs out to have a look and they were SOAKED in fuel, so i dried them off and left them out, got camping stove out and burnt the fuel off the plugs, they sat with a small yellow flame on for about 30 seconds. now tried to start again and still flooding like mad, any ideas whats causing this? ive also checked air filter and thats fine. ![]() |

Is it a pointy, ie: fuel injected? I'd be tempted to check all the connections around the throttle bodies and ECU before anything else.
