Default Insurance for learners?

I have my bike insured with H&R underwritten by KGM I think.
They have given me 45 days to pass my test. I failed my mod 2 and only had 2 days left of those 45.
I rang to say that I have a retest in 2 weeks and could I have an extension on the 45 days, they agreed.
I got a letter through the other day saying my insurance has been cancelled because of invalid licence and that my 7 days notice expires tomorrow which is test day. No pressure!

Do you think they will honour their phone call or they're lining up to do me over?

Is the letter postmarked in any way?

If it is, is it before or after you phoned? if it's before then it should just be an overlap in them sending out and you phoning up.

That may at least put your mind at rest so you can concentrate on your test (assuming you're using a school bike for the test) if you are using your own, or are worried about it then give them a call, it's better than going off what someone on here says if they don't work for H&R then it's all sumation.

I passed my test, gave them a ring and emailed a copy of MOD2 cert. and all is well.
The letter was sent after I rang and it didn't seem to sound the same as what they had said on the phone.
Case closed.

Just got a shopping list now:
Better gloves and helmet
Heated Grips
K&N
