Ok guys i need yor opinions. I've been looking at Aprilia shivers to buy one at the start of next year but every time i'm on ebay or mcn i can't help getting drawn to a newer SV650. for the price of a decent shiver i could get myself a really nice low milage pointy with money left over to put towards sorting the suspension and other bits out. I'm more than happy with the sv's performance so what should i do. Buy a shiver or get a really tidy pointy and make a few improvements with it.

Shiver - much nicer looking (IMO of course!)

Listen to your heart not your head, which one 'does it' for you...

I looked at the shiver when my SV got written off - decided the potential issue of parts etc not being readily available was enough to put me off.
Got a Z750 instead. Then bought the SV back ;p

I love the look of the Shiver & the MT03 but borrowed one for a couple of days & was massively unimpressed compared to the SV, I'm quite tall so enjoyed the height & position it's just the engine didn't seem to have the kick the SV does even in sport mode.

Tried my mates mt03 and hated it, i really like the look of the shivers but as much as i hate to admit it being a curvy owner the pointy shape has really grown on me and all i really want in a bike is a newer version of what i've got. I figure that for what i'd pay for a standard shiver i could get a very tidy similar age but lower milage SV and have enough left to sort the suspension/brakes get a new exhaust plus any other little bits that take my fancy.

Had a short test ride but it didn't really feel as good as it looks. I'll probably go back and have a longer test to see if it changes my mind. But the more i think about it the more a fancy getting a tidy SV and making it even better
