Default curvy clutch switch

Hi guys my clutch switch has been playing up for a while now i was just wondering if it would affect any of the electricals if i just cut them back and soldered them together?
also thinkinh of removing the side stand switch an soldering it together any issues caused by that?
many thanks
Ben

Nope. Ive shorted my clutch switch.

I wouldn't short my side stand one though, the consequences of accidently leaving it down could be expensive.

The later SVs (K9+) seem to use the signal from that switch in some sort of engine management. A couple users reported engine cut offs after replacing the standard clutch lever, but earlier models seem ok.

Stand switch is a very bad ideea indeed.

I also shorted mine, on a k1 Curvy,

I've had no problems with the switch.

1 Million problems with everything else though.

Fine to short clutch switch.

Also fine to short side stand switch, you'll only ever forget once.

well it would appear that i shall be changing the wiring slightly then as its being a pain in the ass an some time takes 4 or 5 pushes of the button.

I dont think that has anything to do with clutch/side stand switches

Could well be clutch switch.

When it fails to start, hold the start button in and wiggle the clutch around. The 2 switches are in series so this should tell you if the clutch switch is at fault (unless you already bypassed it?)
