Default Recommend me some......waterproof boots

Got a few trips planned and will probably get rained on....currently just have my Oxtars which aren't waterproof at all.

Had some RST waterproof boots last year, but 5 days in scotland proved that they weren't - and the design was crap because the lining pulled out of place when wet and now won't go back into place.

Can't really stretch to Daytona's so is there anything that works but doesn't cost the earth?

sounds like mine where the linings turned into bags to keep the water in the boots.

I had to cut the liners out in order that the water ran out. damp feet being preferable to wet.

If you find any that really work, sing their praises on the org.

Sidi Canyons - 2 and a half years old, worn all day daily including 2 ARs, still going ok if looking a bit shabby

When I need to I will be replacing with the same

Alt Bergs work, also day-long comfortable on or off bike.
Desperately old fashioned, so suit me, Sir.

Never had soggy feet in them (certainly no more than other footwear, even in summer, either from the rain outside or my feet inside.

The soles are also more like "normal" boots, so are comfortable to wear all day - ie my normal day is put them on about 7, take them off about 7, 5 days/week.

TCX infinity

Wish I hadn't sold mine after doing the AR

Buy some Sealskins waterproof socks or army surplus Gortex boot liners as a stop gap for leaky boots

Yes, that's the sensation I had at the AR while I was wearing my Sealskinz socks, not pleasant, but better than cold wet feet.
