Default My curvy so far ** update 29/04/12 **

Alryt guys just thought I'd get a couple of pictures up. Heres my curvy I bought it a couple of week's ago for the bargain price of £280!

Its a 2001 sv650s in black

The guy I got it off had a little off on it and stripped it back to street fighter it and then left it sat for 2 years in a heated garage.

The engine runs mint, starts first touch of the button hot or cold and is really quiet.

So far i've had to buy all the front fairings, clocks. forks. front brake master cylinder and lever, clutch lever, grips, bar ends, screen, radiator and a couple of other bits and bobs.

and a pic of the original damaged forks:

I still need 2 bolts for the front cylinder head engine mount, headlight and a battery then after I put it all together it should be ready to take for an mot.

The plan is to get it threw an mot asap then bring it home and strip it back. Get both the wheels powder coated (not picked a colour yet), give the fork bottoms and rear subframe a fresh coat of paint, give the engine a service, change the fork oil and spray the front fairings the original colour the bike should be.

Just a little update. I've now passed my das The bike is now mot'd and taxed. I've added a Remus innovation exhaust (one of the best sounding exhausts ive heard!) I've got the paint to do the wheels and fork bottoms, decided to spray the wheels myself to save money. Also got new fork oil to put in, i've given it a full service. Now i'm just waiting for the black front fairing i've won off ebay to be delivered.

Here's a couple of pics of it built up with the standard can and as it is now with the remus. I'll get more pictures up when the fairing arrives and i've painted a couple of bits.

Ok another update! Managaed to change the fork oil and get the fork bottoms and wheels painted Also the black front fairings have arrived so there now on and just given the bike a general clean/tidy.

Here's some pics... The one's in the pouring down rain were taken today.

Painting isn't my speciality but I think its come out good, i've also painted a couple of other bits if you can spot what they are
