Question GM V the road down

Whos going when?

I'll be arriving later on the Friday.

Probably leave Stirling/Falkirk somewhere between 4pm earliest and 5.30pm latest.

I'm undecided about when I'm leaving, either be around that time (maybe I could join you) or earlier in the day, see what the weather is meant to do and what time the small fry goes away with my folks.

I haven't even thought about what time I'm leaving yet.
I get back from Englandshire late on the Thursday night so will be sorting bike and kit out in the morning and heading off as soon as I'm ready. That's the plan anyway!!

I was going to post up this very question.

I have taken the day off work. So... if the weather is fine I was going to head down on a convoluted route about lunchtime to get there mid to late afternoon. If the weather is forecasting rain at some point later in the day or if it is raining and the forecast is for the rain to stop at some point then I will try and time it so I am not putting up a tent during a monsoon .

Its going to be sunny.

I have the Thursday off too hopefully going to meet up with some lovely folks who are touring Scotland before the GM. they should be staying at mine so we may have a few beers. So will see what time we are going to head down on the Friday.

I can post up a provisional route and some times to see what we can do about getting down to the GAC.

I'd like to get down there fairly early to give Ron a hand if he needs it. If he doesn't I'm gonna probably head across to Newton Stewart just so I can ride the A712. (god do I love that road)

I finish work about 3pm on Friday, so might go out for a late lunch/early dinner with Mrs G and Baby G then leave after that. So probably leave 4pm at the earliest.

Here's MY provisional route for getting down. Bit down to East Kilbride is a bit pants but its quick...

http://goo.gl/maps/K4ul Plan for me is quick stop in Muirkirk, then fuel in petrol station in Dalmellington. (as its cheap for fuel and sells booze, I REPEAT IT SELLS BOOZE GUYS!!! )

But nothing is set in stone, I still need to hear from the guys from down south and get final authority from Mrs Chucca to have them stay... But its all looking good.

If others want to join up I'm more than happy to change things about a bit, in fact completely...

Just shout up...

I'll look forward to seeing you guys there.

Wendy off and I finish work at noon.
She's dropping the dog off at her folks, so I'm picking her up in Troon then it's a simple run down the A713.

We'll be there about 2pm for drinkies by the loch and to through stones at Ron as he runs around stressing .
