sv650 2003 pyramid rear hugger - will it fit my K8?

Hi guys n gals,

i've been offered a pyramid rear hugger off a 2003 sv650 but i don't know whether it would fit my K8. i've been told that the k3-k5 rear is slightly different from the new k8's....is this true?

can anyone help me out?

K3 is different.

K4 onwards is the same I think.

Main difference is the toolkit box that was moved to near the shock.

This is fouled when you try and put a K3 hugger on a K6 (I know I tried it - and modded around it (bandsaw and it was less than ideal - but I got the hugger for free so....)

I've tried twice to start a new thread on here, but nothing happens (says a moderator will approve it and that was days ago).... so sorry to bring an old thread up but this is pretty much what I was wanting to ask.

I have a SK6.... which I will be commuting on so don't want to spend alot on a hugger but feel it will stop some of the road crap coming up.

Ive seen this one on ebay... but it says it fits K3/K4! As the above post says k3/k4 is different I'm abit confused.
