Get one of these and buy a ram mount for your phone.
I can't think of a bigger top yoke nut and drilling your original one might not be a great idea http://www.telferizer.com/

the hole is about 8mm in diameter, but there is no room to fit a 14 - 18mm nut under the yoke nut.

Can't think of one, you'll need to drill it.
But looking at that mount, the black bit looks like it separates from the silver bit, which should fit into the steering stem once you've separated them. Then put the yoke nut back on and screw the black ram mount onto the silver adaptor? You'd have to see if a GSXR yoke nut was the same thread, as that its what is in the picture in your original thread, but that is unlikely to work as the steering stems are different lengths & diameters.
