No matter how many times I change the time on the clocks it never saves the time. When I turn the bike on it always some random time. Why is this??

Ooh err. I'm guessing the clock is on the blink as you say it's random rather than resetting to 12:00 every time you switch on.
Have you done any repairs lately or had any other problems? |

Stenno may well be right, but it's worth checking the permanent live to the clocks is actually permanent.

Possible Low Battery beleive it or not My Hayabusa did this when the battery was on its way out. It would start the bike but for some reason the clock was always wrong???? Changed the battery and fault dissappeared.

On other bikes with clocks it's very often the permanent feed, as Sid says. It gets a feed from ignition on, but if it isn't maintained when off it loses the memory and either resets to midnight or a random time. There may be a separate fuse supplying the permanent feed, or it's off an accessory circuit or similar.

Yeah it needs permanent live. Check clock connectors for corrosion and such.
Bloody annoying, the GSXR clocks I use save the trip setting, but lose the time!
