Begs a question though, if you bought a matching pair and the rear did that on yours, would you really leave the front on?

Not good but he had done 10,000 km on them, and was running them at 33 front, 36 rear, reccommended is 36/42. Also the temp was 100 degrees, i don't think we'll have the same problems over here, still scary though but I love mine.

If you cook any tyre it will be knackered in the end.

Don't pay too much attention to any recommended pressures, it depends on suspension, tyres, riding conditions, weight, weight balance, temperature... just find some that work for you.
Though they're not supposed to fail that dramatically when wrong.

Obviously PR3s on an FZ6 in 40 degree ambient temperatures require more than 36 to keep the heat down eh.

I just bought a partworn so we will see if I die horribly eh!

How are these seppos managing to get 15k+ out of rear tyres? What the devil do they do with them?

It was 10k according to his post but had loads of life left so probably not far off 15k, im a crap rider and i only got 4k out of my 020's

Yeah there is one guy talking regular 16000 mile tyre life? That is worth risk of crash

16k tyre life! My hornet has only done 1500 miles and it has nearly destroyed its back tyre (BT012), how do they do it!
