Anyone used both & found a great difference?
Only ever had a Fog City works perfectly, but new helmet is coming pinlock. So was wondering if I should just use the pinlock or buy a visor & fog city while I'm getting the helmet? Anyone noticed any differences ? or had any problems? Some come with a silicone seal, some don't. Cheers |

Pinlock is better IMHO.
1. You can remove the pinlock to clean it, the fogcity, once its on its on and I've never heard of anybody being able to remove it and refit it again. 2. Pinlocks come in different tints, so you can use a clear one at night, and then swap it easily for a different colour i.e. yellow one for use in low light, when its raining. Fog city do a light reactive one that might give a similar effect, but I dont know how it would work at night and I've never tried it. 3. Pinlock for me gives less ghosting at night, it also seemed to give less glare from car headlights than the fogcity did. 4. In terms of your visor not fogging, theres no much between them, but for me the Pinlock is better than the Fogcity was. In your situation, I would give the pinlock a try.

Pinlocks every time, they take seconds to remove and just work.

Brill, Cheers. I'll give it a shot. I've got the light reactive FC but after about 6months it just started to stay dark rather than react.

That's what I've ended up doing. Clear visor & half tint both with Pinlock. I was considering having the one visor & two pinlocks but this is way easier, I read somewhere about Pinlocks scratching quite easily if not on a visor too.

Pinlock
If you buy different inserts they come with a little cloth pocket to store them in. I swap between clear and "track use only" tints and don't have a problem with scratched inserts. Having a helmet with an easy visor removal mechanism helps when swapping.... |

Small word against Pinlock to balance things. If you leave them on for a while and then go to remove you can end up with half of the silicone seal left behind on your visor! It's a sod to get off without scratching/damaging. That said my Pinlock is the light reactive one which, when it arrived, said track use only. The road use ones may be more resilient to removal/swapping. Great shame this as the reactive works very well but I no longer have a good seal and it does not clean up well either.
Will go for the twin visor setup when pennies permit, both with clear pinlocks (probably).
