If they're ok, just pack them with grease.

Replacing them is quite a big job, especially if you're going to replace the cups in the headtube

I'd agree if you have no issue currently, however it's not a big job to replace merely a question of technique to remove the part bearing fromthe stem, once the superduke is back on the road I have this as one of the jobs planned for the S4, as Andy rightly says once you've removed enough to repack with grease it's only another half hour to change the bearings.

Cheers Mark.

There's absolutely no point replacing them if they're not notched. Remove the yokes and steering stem, give them a good wash out with solvent of your choice, fully pack with good quality grease. Reassemble and adjust, dead easy

Replacing them is not a half hour job if you've never done it before and has potential for expensive c0ck ups.

the right knowledge and tools can be borrowed, if you know the right people, but like anything else, if you've no idea how to do something then blindly swinging even such tools as torque wrenches and vernier calipers can of course stuff it up good time....

Cheers Mark.

When you say notched you mean the races in the headstock?

Mine a loose you can hear them over bumps and was going re-pack them before I tighten them back up properly.
