I read various forums for the past week until I can recite some by heart. I've looked at YouTube videos until my ears are in full revolt. I am sincerely requesting some objective advice about a slip on exhaust for a 2006 SV650s, red and black. I'm hesitant to say what I like soundwise because I know the YouTube videos distort the true sound but they are all I have. My ranking right now is:
1) M4 2) Scorpion Street Extreme carbon 3) Yoshimura RS-3 (don't like the look but sound is nice) 3A) Two Brothers 3B) Delkevic (Like the sound, ok with the look, uncomfortable with it being so inexpensive - there has to be a catch) The Scorpion would easily be my #1 but I'm afraid that it will be TOO LOUD as crazy as that seems. I do a lot of residential riding and the open pipe Harleys always annoy the hell out of me at 1am in the morning. Thanks in advance for assisting with my noobness. ![]() |

I doubt the scorpion will be 'hog loud'. You can always leave the baffle in.

I use a Scorpion (ordinary stainless) with a slightly modified baffle (un-modified baffle too quiet, no baffle too loud). The Delkevic on my friend's Sv sounds very nice, even with no baffle and looks great. If I were buying (Scorp came with bike) then I would probably go for the Delkevic as it's a nice deep, bass sound.

I run a Delkevic on my curvy, sounds loud enough & got a nice overrun on the down shifts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBrh0...7&feature=plcp Bear in mind this is W/o the baffle, does sound good with it in I just choose to run it W/o. |

Leaning towards the Delkevic because of the price point. Anyone ever consider wrapping their exhaust piping? Depending on the color scheme think it would be a unique look. It's suppose to provide some performance enhancement also by kepping the gases hotter.
