Ignition problem - minitwin SV. - SV650.org

Hello all,

I've got a bit of trouble with my Minitwin SV650. It's got a loom that has been cut down and the bike seemed fine. It used to run ok but I've tried it again and while it spins over fine I'm not getting any sparks.

I've tested both coils for resistance and both are fine. I've also tested for voltage with the battery connected and it has good voltage. I've checked for continuity across all the wires and everything is connected.

I have also changed plugs etc but no success.

Any help or advice because I'm a bit stuck here now.

If as you say the coils, wiring and battery are in good order, I'd see if I could borrow a known good ECU unit and try replacing that, it's rare they blow, but it has been known.
