Default miles by spaznav v's bike

mileage on google maps, tyre and my spaznav (recorded on the day) all indicate 181 miles for a route i rode but my bike states 173 miles. so who do i believe?

If an SV650 has a flat tyre in the forest and no-one is there to blow it up, how long will it be 'til someone posts that the reg/rec is duff and the world will end unless a CBR unit is fitted? A little bit of knowledge = a dangerous thing.

still the beginning of the season and was starting to rain and get cold.

I use a map, a piece of string and a ruler, double check it that way, really easy.

Rough guess

I now know its 143 miles from Preston to mine using the M6 and A69
and 180 going via the A6 and lakes

Over a long distance I would trust the satnav. Even if you're bike is 0.1% out, due to the tyre pressure, tread depth or little things like that, over a long distance it becomes less accurate.
