miles by spaznav v's bike
mileage on google maps, tyre and my spaznav (recorded on the day) all indicate 181 miles for a route i rode but my bike states 173 miles. so who do i believe?

I use a map, a piece of string and a ruler, double check it that way, really easy.

Rough guess
I now know its 143 miles from Preston to mine using the M6 and A69 and 180 going via the A6 and lakes

Over a long distance I would trust the satnav. Even if you're bike is 0.1% out, due to the tyre pressure, tread depth or little things like that, over a long distance it becomes less accurate.
