Default Which dual compound tyres?

Always had corsa 3s on my blade, they kept their shape really well due to the dual compound setup. Were also okay on the track (until they finally gave up and I high sided). However they were rubbish in the wet and even in the dry took a while to get to temperature.

Are their any better dual compound tyres, or single compound ones that don't square off.

My Gixxer came with Michelin sporty ones which still have all their tread on but went dangerously square after less than 1000 miles.

Michellin PR2 or 3s. Great in the dry, fantastic in the wet! Never managed to square mine off on the 749

Well I'd go for pr3's, as you know I'm not a rider who leans the bike over that much, only just lost my chicken strips in France, mine haven't squared off in 4.5k.

I use the mway a fair bit getting to and from rideouts so they should be squaring off but they haven't yet.

I expect a bit soon though as a fully loaded bike with the wife on the back going to normandy will obviously put the dual compounds to the test.

I'm with SP1. Michelin PR3s. Am really enjoying these tyres in both the dry and the wet and they seem to be lasting well too.
Ive had the PR2s and rate them highly too, but I do think the 3s offer slightly more feel (my opinion though)

The photo has been discussed in many forums, including this one which highlights the visible issues in the image.

I'm on my 3rd set of PR3's. Love them

Well don't take much to check them out if you have them.
You should look over them before you ride anyway.

I think I'll try the PR3s then. Just hope they don't disintegrate!

The original guy that posted the problem originally state he had done 16,000km on them. Eventually the story was unraveled and it was a guy embellishing his story. For what mean I don't know but dont worry about disintegrating. It's a myth.
