Hi all,
I have been in the process of making some big changes to my k4 naked over the last few months and have had some very helpful information from fellow orgers to help me along. And I thought I would post some before/after pictures of the SV and help anyone that may be attempting the modifications themselves as I was helped with mine. I bought the Sv off fellow org member bbadger back in February. One thing I always wanted to do to my previous SV's was a GSXR front end conversion. I have owned a 1999 naked curvy and a K5 Sv sport previously but unfortunately never got round to doing the mods. Here are some pictures of the bike as it was when I bought it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you would agree it was a good looking bike before and had some very tasteful mods done to it by its previous owners. Here are some pictures taken today after the work I have completed do far. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm a really happy with the result of what I have done with the SV but of course I am very biased ![]() Please post your opinions and questions. Here is a list of bits that are on there: K6 GSXR 750 front forks K6 GSXR 750 bottom yoke powder coated black SV 1000 front wheel and discs powder coated black K5 GSXR 1000 front callipers K5 GSXR 1000 front radial master cylinder Custom machined top yoke made from billet aluminium so that I can mount standard SV clocks etc... Renthal fat bar conversion consisting of handlebars and Renthal risers Short pazzo type brake levers Hesa fire headlight Aluminium headlight brackets powder coated black Hein Gerike hook led indicators front and rear HEL performance red braided brake lines front and rear Pro bolt engine kit and master cylinder cap Standard rear wheel powder coated black Black smoked rear light Mods to be done: GSXR rear shock which is on order And a lazer xtreme gp exhaust, Like this ![]() I am currently fabricating a new link pipe as this is for a GSXR and won't fit yet. Few other little bits to tidy it up too. What's your thoughts guys and girls? Cheers for reading though. Alex |

Hi Al,
I got a GSXR speedo sensor and fabricated a bracket to fit on the left hand fork leg mudguard mounts. Then I got four magnets and mounted them with JB weld to the disk rivets. It took abut of tweaking to get it right but it works in the end |
