Default Iphone question

I have had a ipod touch for almost a couple of years, and have just bought a used iphone 3gs. I've logged into the appstore and I'm surprised to find its allowing me to download the apps I've paid for on my touch also onto the iphone. Seems pretty generous - is that normal?

Also, seeing as there is an app for everything, now I have a gps in there I'm looking for an app that will allow me to record audio messages, and it will play them back as I approach gps locations. The idea is that when I go trailbikeing, I can plan my route and record a set of instructions that will be played back as I get close to the waypoints. (i.e in 100 metres wheelie over the kerb and go straight into the small lane with a large tree on the left hand side) Its not a sat nav I want, just pre-recorded instructions that I can play in my ear with the iphone in my pocket. If I plan my route properly I'll look like a trail riding guide god!

Yes it's normal, the apps are keyed to your account not your device, not sure if there's a limit to the number of devices you can download to, don't think so.

I think an account is limited to 5 devices, but that may not be correct. HTH

As for the gps location thing. I believe this is possible with IOS5.

You will need to set this up in the 'Reminders' app which comes automatically with IOS5.

You will need to save the locations in your contacts via the 'maps'.

I know this can be done with messages in text, but perhaps possible with voice memos. Have a play and let us know.
