Hi,
I'm attending this in July, has anyone ever been? I'm not sure what type of ticket to get, general admission or fixed seat. Does GA allow roaming? Apparently there are usually over 100K people at this, I don't want to be stuck in crowds all day but also want to see as much action as possible The general admission ticket is only £80 for Fri-Sun, which seems rather good |

I've not done the above but I have boon to the WSB at Oschersleben (excellent track). We booked grandstand seats and could walk around and come back to our seats.
One thing that was obvious was the lack of swearing there. The only swearing I heard all weekend was two British blokes effing and blinding. None of the German's swore at all, all weekend. C |

Went in 2006.
Got seats in the grandstand at the bottom of the big hill (the waterfall?). The stand out bit of track, their Corkscrew, Craners ...eh Duffus Dip ![]() It was sweltering hot and a big trek (very hilly and spread out) from where you had to park up and we were only there for race day so didn't feel much like walking about, I'm afraid. (Turning my skin pink was!) Bought tickets over the net from the track and you printed them. Barcoded. Very efficient. ![]() If you are looking for digs nearby we found this place. Well impressed for the price (booked before xmas though). Lovely wee east german town too. http://www.schloss-schweinsburg.de/ You heading from Ijmuiden? |

Thanks for that. Yeah heading from Ijmuiden on a 3 weeker round Europe, this lands on the second day so it'd be rude not to go. Will only be going for race day too

The missus and I will be there, we've bought a seated ticket in T4 for the whole weekend albeit problem won't make it except for the race day. She went years ago and believes you can walk around freely. I'm sure it'll be like when I went to the British one where you can walk around on the inside and outside of the circuit as there will be vast areas of merch and food.
Lot of controversy around the German GP due to increased prices from DORNA and new organisers at the Sachsenring. There has been a lot of talk about the race not going ahead due to money and lack of stewards and they've intentionally not sold day tickets to force weekend tickets to be sold. It may be worth waiting till nearer the time like a lot of German's are doing in order to get a day ticket. Depends if you want to risk it or not. £80 sounds reasonable. Enjoy! |
