Talking GMV Route

Here you go folks -

ROUTE

Had a bloody good day oot today running around this little beauty!

As you can see it is a big figure of 8, starting from GAC and heading south to Kirkcudbright ('kircoobree') before going the coast road to Dalbeattie for a wee stop, regroup and a pee!

Then run up to Moffat for lunch and fuel. We will stop in the carpark just before the town as there is not the space in Moffat for us all to park.

From Moffat a wee run up the beeftubs Road and then across to Elvanfoot for a run down the Dalveen Pass (one of the best roads in D&G, if not Scotland) to Thornhill and then all the way to Moniaive for a regroup and then continue along the A702 all the way to Newton Stewart.

Folks can of course drop off and go back to the GAC but I recommend you at least carry on to Newton Stewart along the Queens Highway and then maybe back to GAC.

Break in Newton Stewart then run up to Girvan, wee stop, regroup and fuel before running over to Dalmellington before going over the hills back down to GAC.

234 miles in total. Myself, Chucca and Jamesmio have worked this out and you can be sure we have planned to cover the best that D&G can offer.

NOW GET BOOKED IN AT THE CAMPSITE!

Sorry, but converting it from publisher document to Jpeg and then posting here, quality has diminished quite a lot.

Does anyone know how I can put a link up to a document???

Just pm me your e-mail address an I'll send you a copy

Ron save it to a PDF document or Copy the image(s) to paint and save it
Its far easier

Use Cute PDF http://www.cutepdf.com/

Tried copy image, and then enlarge. It loses too much definition.

Its easier to just click "route" in post #1, then enlarge and then print.

Hi Blue Flame, e-mailed copies. If you are able, please feel free to put up on public area and stick a link on here.

That's just a wee bit above my pay grade!!! LOL.

You do realise that going through Dumfries town centre and Over the Buccleuch St Bridge is going to be a complete nightmare?

There are several sets of traffic lights in the town potentially splitting such a large group and making life difficult for markers, and there are works scheduled on the bridge.

http://www.dgstandard.co.uk/dumfries...1311-31136223/

I really think you should re-think that part of the route and head up the bypass to avoid the town centre.
