My daily refresh on autotrader has revealed a bike less than 3 miles from me!
details: 2003 Sv650 fully faired K3 33700 miles 12 months mot (4 advisories - front brake, tyre, noisy exhaust & n other) Alarm (veto plus?) Datatagged Restrictor kit (not fitted) quite a few bumps & scrapes (tank dent, paint missing) up at £1900 Is this realistic, or overpriced? What do the experts ![]() |

Over-priced
I paid £1200 for a 2000 Curvey in 2009 with 28k on the clock and she was in a rough state too |

It doesn't matter what price the bike is advertised at, it only matters what the seller will accept for it, and you won't know that until you make him an offer.

Don't fall into the "I WANT A FULLY FAIRED ONE" trap. You can buy the fairings yourself brand new for £300, or second hand for as little as £50 on flea bay. Don't spend an extra grand for two bits of plastic.
Also, I would pass on a bike with advisories and multiple bumps/scrapes at that price. You can get minters for that money. My 2002 curvy was mint, 17k miles, £1700 in 2009.

I have a K3 SV650S with 17000 miles, restrictor kit, META M357V2 alarm, Alpha dot and a couple of scratches on the tank. I was looking to change my bike and the garage near me would pay me £1800. Private probably £2000. I would say with that high miles probably £1500

Its about 5-600 notes overpriced, could need about £500 of work/ spares depending upon the advisories

my K3 had 30k on the clock and a few extras when it was written off last August. The Insurance gave me £2k for it, since then i imagine another 10% cold be knocked off that price.
I agree with AS about the advisories, that could cost you a bit-use it as leverage on the price |
