Default Paddock stands for winter storage?

hi , thinking of geting a set off paddock stands for sv650s , was wondering , if its a good idea to put your bike on the stands when bike is put away for winter , i use my bike every day at the moment , but when that white stuff falls , (sorry yes i know ) and i have to put the bike away under a lean- to, would it help the tyres if it was put up on paddock stands , just wanted your thoughts and if you did this

Supposidly yes the tyres get a better time if they're not on the ground.

I leave my bike up for the winter too but I just use the foam mats that you can get... you know the ones with the jigsaw cuts so you piece them together.

Also depends on the paddock stand, my cheap Bike-It stand says 'not for long-term/storage use'

I wouldn't worry about the tyres for just a month or 2 so long as they've got air in.

mines on the rear paddock stand don't see the benfit except for fixing things but i also have jigsaw floor stuff hard wearing perfect for garage, easy to clean etc...
so for me the paddock stand is'nt really needed.

Car tyres falt spot over time.
Bike are not that heavy though.
Its only an issue if the tyre goes flat and its on a side stand .Then can fall over if the leans not that far

What is this winter storage process that may require the bike to be on stands?

Is it some kind of way of using the cooler temperatures in December to cool the bike in the Summer?

hi thanks for that , was the flat spot on the tyre that i thought about , thought with weight of tyres would help save the tyres a bit , but i do have a thick pice of carpet down that the bike goes onto , when i put it away , im hopeing we dont get a crap winter up here in scotland so bike wont be off road to long , thanks again for all your comments worth a read

When car manufactures stock pile there cars they just over inflate the tyre .
45 psi is typical on the pdi s we do.
Set to 33/31 post pdi .
