Default 180 rear tyre on Curvy, is there room?

I all, I've gone and done it, racing in Norwegian C-Class(entry/slow class) with my roadbike, the allmighty SV, slayer of mini size beasts, and one of the regulars said if I need wets I could borrow his spare set, but it's a 180 rear, question, will it fit? I'm not to keen on racing in the wet, since thats when I lowside.... Trying a bit to hard.....

It'll be tight to be honest, plus steering becomes very lazy using a wider tyre. I fitted a 170 to mine, went in no problem. I think someone on here did it using a CBR600 rim (I think). Someone with a bit more knowledge will be along shortly to put the facts straight Good luck with the racing

Yeah, you can with CBR rear, but you need spaces and I think depending on what rim you get brake caliper adaptions.

It'd be cheaper to just buy some race wets for your rims. At least then as Mister C stated it will still turn in quicker. There's also no Grip beneifit to a 180 as some other people may think.

It's just a backup plan H thingy, but no worries, a co member in Stavanger RR said he has a set of 120/160 wets for his supermotard, made a deal, he brings them, if I use them I buy them....Good the have nice people around you..Going up against 1000 cc, 750cc and 600cc bikes, that will be interesting, if there is anyone that comes out worse than me on the HP/KG scale I will tell the world.
