Default Fairing 675 screen

Hi all,

I have bought a 675 fairing and screen for my pointy k5.

However im having a problem with aligning the screen with the top fairing...

As can be seen, how is the screen suppose to sit at the bottom of the fairing, on one picture it shows the screen pushed flush to the bottom of the fairing screen "hole" but then there is a gab at either side. On the other picture i have just put it on the outside and it seems to line up correctly.

My initial thought is to cut the bottom of the screen so it aligns flush with the fairing. any ideas?

Cheers, Grant

I had so much chew making 675 fairings fit my minitwin. So much so that I gave up all together.

The standard screen I purchased needed about 5mm trimming off the very bottom to fit properly. Probably more to do with the mold that the fairings came out of.

Most people fill up the ram air hole or buy a fairing that comes with it already filled. The screen is cut to match the fairing or the fairing is cut to match the screen, leaving room for the number.

Most race 675 fairings are copies of copies so the detail and accuracy are lost. You just have to be brutal and set to it with the Dremmel and make it fit.
