Default Sealing a leaking fuel tank?

I've recently noticed a very slight fuel leak coming from the side of the tank on my 1999 SV650s. After close inspection it seems like there is a tiny crack on the lower side part of the fuel tank seam. I'm looking for a replacement tank, but would like to try and seal it first. Has anyone tried this and if so what did you use and did you have any luck? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Will.

Araldite and a suitable little patch for strength.

As Sid squid.

I would also POR15 seal the tank as a belts and braces method, or try someone like this

Doesn't fix a crack but it's a cool idea to get rid of rust

Thanks for all the reply's. I'm liking the look of that sealer kit, going to order it up and crack on with the repair once the good weathers out the way.

Interesting. How has it held up to now? And did you find it to be a messy job?
