My Sv650 is k6.. it's recently developed a intermittent squeak when i accelerate, depending also how much i adjust the throttle.
I suspected that it was my loose chain, but after tightening it, and lubricating it, there is no change.. The bike hasn't been serviced in 6,000+ miles, was wondering if it could be the injectors. Is there any other possibilities, is it a common thing? :/ cheers |

is the squeak continuous when accelerating, or only when you initially roll on the throttle

when you say the bike hasn't been serviced in 6k+ miles is that including the oil and filter?

Are you sure it's not just that you can no longer hear it over the engine? Mine has a similar thing actually, and ive had a look round the front of the bike (which is where mine sounds like its coming from) and there's some rubber coated cables clipped down onto the mudguard, if I wiggle these cables around theres quite a loud squeaking sound and I'm unsure if this is what I'm hearing when I'm riding. |

Could be the clutch slipping. Would probably be more prevalent when the bike is cold.

When the bike is stationary, try bouncing the suspension up and down (both ends) and see if you can hear anything out of the ordinary.
The swing arm or suspension linkage bearings might be possible suspects as you'd get a movement there as the bike accelerates abut it then all stays about the same as the speed rises. Jambo
