Private number to Voicemail - SV650.org

Org, your collective knowledge is required.

I have a work mobile which is on o2. When i receive a call from 'Private Number' it goes straight voicemail. Unknown number, or a number in my contacts, rings the normal amount of time.

I have contacted the company that supplies our phoens/Sim cards and they say that there are no settings or profiles on the network that cause this.

So has anyone ever had this if so, what did you do to solve it?

In the meantime they are sending me a new SIM card to see if this solves it.

This wouldnt normaly be an issue, but the when any from the customer in which im based calls, it shows up as Private Number and never leaves a voicemail.

You sure it's not a setting on the phone?

It's a phone setting, I had a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy when I first got it from Vodaphone. I can't remember how I solved it but I found the answer on the Vodaphone forum.

As above, it should be a redirect setting on your handset.

On my phone you can blacklist numbers, maybe yours is set to send unknown numbers straight to VM
