Default Curvy cutting out at high revs

Hi all, I'm new member and I'd like to share a problem with you.

I recently bought a used SV S 2001 model.
The problem that I have is that it misfires (cutting out) at high revs.
At low revs it has no problems, except from not starting very easily.
At high revs with neutral, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear there is no problem, it revs until red line. From 4th and after is cutting out at a diminishing order eg 4rth at 9.500, 5th at 9.000, 6th at 8.500. If the load is bigger, for example incline road, the cutting comes earlier at 6.000 to 7.000 rpms.
The bike has a Yoshimura slip-on and Yoshi cams (as I've been told).
I don't now if any re-jetting has done on the bike.
Whether is fine, summertime in Greece

What do you think? Is carbs issue or something else?

I don't have the tech knowledge to really help, but simplify the problem and it sounds like the problem occurs when you are are max revs, ie pushing loads of fuel into the system. Could you be flooding it, whilst running rich?

What are the conditions of your basic service components? Plugs, air filter etc,. They may give you a clue to the question of too rich or not quite the right mix of fuel and air.

Then the next question is the carbs. Has this problem just developed or has this been the case since you have owned the bike?

Either way some bright spark will come along and help soon enough.

Cheers

According to http://http://mickk.net/motorcycle/d...ting_Notes.pdf
Engine Misfiring at Full Throttle
If the engine starts to misfire at full throttle then the mixture is usually far too lean and the Main Jet far too small.

I don't know if my case is called misfire, hesitation or cutting out. It simply goes like back and forward when reaches a certain spot.

The problem existed when I bought the bike. I didn't really test it because the owner was 500km away. I asked a good friend who lives there to check it out. He went to his mechanic to check the bike and he told him that everything was ok, engine wise.

New problem occurred today, the bike won't start, even tried a pushing start with no luck.
