I know it's easy to say but if he's on a big bike, why didn't he just leave them in dust and fumes?

I thought that. I guess you're never sure anything is wrong until they actually start attacking you. If someone shouts at you, you assume it's a problem with your bike maybe. Once you're stopped and they're beside you, it's too late.

Wonderful reporting. No details of the stolen bike.

I wonder.... Could have been jealousy coz he had a Proper bike & they only had a scooter???

I dunno, just a thought.

ps: for all you scooter owners - it was a joke.

They hit him round the head, I assume he took his helmet off before they did that I get paranoid if the same vehicle is behind me for too long (usually in case it's a copper) but I find myself taking deliberate detours to "shake" them off. Maybe being a lass makes you more paranoid but I'd rather not stop around to find out. Might have been an idea to have kept the bike in gear and be ready to fook off when it gets dodgy. I can't imagine they'd be talking to him politely through the whole thing. Poor bugger, hope they find his bike, not that we can help with no details. Nice place that Croydon

Two guys both 5'8 and of medium build?

Not sure even I'd have been scared of them.

From memory (saw this in the local paper) it was CBR600RR or similar.

I was caught in the riots in Camberwell. Was on my way home from work @ The Savoy. The cops were making a run for it, I was trying to get home and these kids ran out in front of my bike ( Honda 125). I had to stop, they took my bike helmet then 1 of them hit me across the head with a baton. Within minutes i was surrounded by kids all in a frenzy.

I keep thinking what if i did this or that but the truth is that it all happens so fast, its unbelievable. Believing in the goodness of humanity either is no help.
