Default Girls?

I notice that the GM header says 'For the Guildford Guys and Girls' but it appears you have no females. Why is this? And do you therefore have to take it in turns to wear a dress to social events that you organise?

Isn't it obvious?

We have lots of females, we simply dont allow them to talk on the forum.

Theres only so much discussion of knitting and kittens one forum can take.

Well, first off, you're wrong. We have BOB! And secondly, if you want the complex answer, it's because society sees fit to sculpt women into boring stereotypes obsessed with pink, make-up, hand bags and shoes, and discourages them from taking on interesting hobbies such as shooting, pole vaulting and of course motorcycle riding. As a direct result of this social condition, brought about by sheep-like parents, there is a significantly smaller pool of women to join the GM, even when you take into account that SVs are good girl bikes. And therefore Spank is responsible for wearing all dresses at social engagements.

Spank, I have a vast selection of frocks so if ever you wish to borrow a few then you only have to ask. Handbags and shoes also available as long as you are a size 3 and all can be supplied with coordinating lipstick and nail polish.

There Fallout - do I now successfully fit your stereotype?

Now you are just being mean Fallout because you know I can't knit.

And instead of dolls I used to have a tool kit, toy JCB, train set and Scalextric when I was a little girl. And I looked like this.

We do have at least one girl, not very active on the forum anymore. I know this because I live with her!

To be fair, there is also Gav's mrs. What's he name again? Mrs gav I think. Widegirl.

I'm never mean Clare. One day you'll realise everything I say is, at worst, 'cruel to be kind'.
