I've just bought a new 3/8 Clarke pro (lifetime guarantee) ratchet driver as my old snap on is just turning and not driving, but it's just occurred to me it might be guaranteed, anyone know for defo?
Or, can I buy a repair kit for it? I've had it years tbh and don't have a receipt. |

Take it to a Snap On dealer and see what they say. Some might repair it, swap it for a new one or let you part ex it against a new one.

I seem to recall that the ratchet mechanisms are replaceable, so grab your local snap on guy and have a chat. A little while ago the wife broke one of her Snap On ratchets and it was replaced with out quibble, all they asked was how it broke.

The replaceable ratchet parts of a Snap On aren't guaranteed as they're considered a consumable - same as all other premium tool brands. Depending on age the parts may be available.

Ok, I'll look at getting a repair kit if possible, it's too good a ratchet to just throw away.
Thanks for the replies ![]() |

Good morning all.
Donkeys years ago, I worked for Snap-On as an industrial rep, & like Sid says, the ratchet mechanisms are considered a consumable, & not guaranteed. However, you should be able to buy a repair kit. If you can't because your ratchet is too old, & the kit has been discontinued, they should replace the whole ratchet with a new one. Cheers. |
