Ok folks as i'm only 19 and a pretty inexperienced biker, i'm looking to upgrade my boots before I jump onto my sv! Does anyone have any suggestions from previous usage etc of a decent set of waterproof boots that dont cost the earth? Or am I better off getting the rain cover things for your feet?

Spada sp1 boots come in at just under a hundred quid. I've had a pair for 18months and rode in all weathers & they've kept me dry every time.
There are better, more expensive boots out there but these are good bang for your buck. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/moto...ent_prod/54392 |

I got a pair of Alpinestar waterproof boots on a deal site for £89, which someone posted up on here. I'll dig it out, as they're bound to have another sometime.
But before these my old TCX boots which were supposed to be waterproof, but weren't, I had a pair of Sealsinz waterproof socks which do work £26 You can get MOD surplus gortex boot liners on Ebay which will do the same job

Here's my two pence worth - I've been riding for 20+ years and in 1997 I sprung for a pair of Daytona Roadstar boots. They cost me (at the time) £250 which was a fortune to me...... I finally threw these boots away last year after 15 years of service !
They were completely waterproof throughout their life and felt like slippers ![]() http://http://www.merlinapparel.eu/products/footwear/ Well see how long these last and perform ! Last edited by Jay-ninja; 19-01-13 at 08:13 AM. |
