On my K6 SV650S it has got a Acumen Cat 1 alarm fitted, this was with the bike when I bought it back in July.
Up until yesterday the alarm was working absolutely fine, no problem. When I parked up at work & switched the bike off the alarm let out 3 rapid beeps. This has never happened before so it puzzled me a bit. Normally when I park up & switch off I walk off and the alarm automatically arms after 1 minute. So yesterday after the 3 beeps I manually armed it, it made the regular 2 beeps, then the alarm went off. So I pressed the button again & stopped the alarm. After that I left the bike & waited for it to arm itself, which it did with no problems at all. I am at a bit of a loss as to why the alarm has started doing this when I switch off. Any ideas? Cheers |

Remove it, no-one takes any notice of them anyway.

So I emailed Acumen & they told me it basically means that the alarm has detected over-voltage on the bike while the bike is running.
Apparently it does this is you use heated grips, which I don't. So as it has persisted I will have to look at the charging system. |
