Default Kids motorcycle clothing sought

My 9 year old nephew has asked to go pillion but I'm not letting him near our bikes til next spring and then he'll need the right gear. So if anyone has kit their kids have grown out who might and you want to sell off please let me know.

Alternatively advice on where I can buy stuff new or second hand as I've never seen any in the bike shops in Essex.

Thanks

I'll have a look in the cupboard tomorrow. Not sure what we have, if anything at all left. We sold some stuff when the kids grew out of it.

How big is he? I've got a set of textiles that my son used and he's not very big. Pm me your number and we can have a chat. Also got a pair of boots to go with it.

You'll probably find he's in an adult helmet already. My 5 year old's in a 52" helmet already, and my wife is a 54" (Xtra Small adult size).

I don't know what I'm going to get him next because an adult helmet can do more damage than good in an accident because of the effect of the weight of the helmet on a little neck. A 9 year old still has quite a fragile neck so think about weight when you get a helmet.

These guys are well known for kids stuff

The two places local to me are (not much use in Essex I know, but they do mail order, I prefer them to try stuff on)

These guys deal in second hand kids clothing too, worth a phone call

These guys are in Leamington Spa, but they do have a massive range of kids stuff

Also try notice boards at biker haunts, I got lots of stuff for my kids from the notice board at squires and passed it along the same way.

If you are forced to buy new, try moto-x places as many kids compete in the sport and need proper gear before being allowed to compete.

Most motorbike shops can order in stuff in child sizes, many manufacturers do it.

Claire it might be worth seeing if there is a local mini moto club near to you, they may have stuff for sale or for hire might be worth a try. If its close by at least it can all be tried on first as well, which is a huge plus. Hope you find something.
