Default TSCA revenge :)

Not knowing the answer to my bike break down today is really hurting Thunderace. mwah ha ha!

So-far the majority of the usual tech support posters have not chipped in so will be leaving this to run for a while.

Currently a disappointing lack of basic diagnostic skills being shown. DadyJob and Spank the only two actually suggesting something beneficial with a description as to how to perform the diagnostic and why.

Codswallop! I'm the only person to suggest undoing what you did in the morning, which is the first and most important step in any diagnosis of a fault that occurred after making a change! Pah!!! Bah!!

Well then we're both the bestest ever, and Spank is stupid.

I also mentioned the hand guards, albeit in a pm, and I was the only one who thought, top down check everything, now hence having checked the entire bike I would have found the fault, as I don't know what was causing the problem I'm not sure where to stop checking? Unless I can see and touch it I'm at a loss, what can I say no imagination!

Is it just me or does it look like most of the "that'll be the snurgle valve rusted through" or "check your VHS values with a dealer plug" type of posters are missing from my little test of actual mechanical practicality.

So far our Job is doing a sterling practical job. Tomor went for a nice obvious one early doors. Spank's checking for symptoms but not entirely sure what he'll do if one proves interesting. Fallout has made some interesting statements harking back to his radio control days but has failed to apply them to the situation. Meanwhile I'm sat in the carpark getting bored!

The whole point of the thread is to see who "knows" and who just "posts". Stuff like "I'd just check everything in a logical order and stop when fixed" is all well and good but neither tests the practical application nor provides any guidance for the next poor sole to go splutter splutter stop on the side of the road.

On the plus side I recon Thunderace really wants to know what went wrong and this is making him stressed again

This is actually quite a good sustainability test as this could happen to anyone out there. If it happens during ZA you're buggered if it turns out the RAC driver is already a Zombie!
