Default Hitting kill switch while riding?

What would happen if you hit the kill switch while you're going a decent speed without pulling in the clutch? Would the rear wheel lock up?

Or what Elliot says. It's the same as turning the ignition off with the key.

This was all the rage at the 1995 Motogp in Le Mans. Great fun & made me realise that the french really don't care about their bikes (well some of them!). My VFR400 backfired with the best of them.
