Default Rocksmith

anyone got it?

do you have to pay for additional song addons? I'm thinking of getting it for PC so i don't have to pay for the addons and hopefully the cable will work with my other studio software i have.

what do people think?

I got the US version on PS3 about 9 months ago.

Cable is basically just a mono USB Mic adapter- you can set it in windows so that you can play straight through your PC speakers, so should work well in other software.

Cable can be bought on its own ofr about £15-£20.

Song packs on the PC are about £20, and are not transferable between platforms, ie you would need t buy on PC and PS3 and XBox.

There is a working "evaluation" version on a certain site with a ship as its logo, so buy the cable on Amazon, see if the game is what you are looking for, then get the "full" version so you can buy song packs would be an option.

I couldn't play guitar when I started playing it, ang while I would say I still cant play, I am better at not playing than when I started out

I dont think it can teach you guitar, but it would make practice more fun.

I have a usb thingy already (cheap Chinese thing) and after faffing around for four hours all I managed to get it to do was make a constant high pitch scream. Never worked.

Only the Real Tone Cable (what they call the Rocksmith USB thingy) will work with Rocksmith.

It DOES work on my PC tho.

I see, I may just buy the cable instead.

This is what I took a punt on for 7 quid but it just doesn't work.
