Battery tray is different on all other models as the sub frame is lower so more of the battery tray needs cutting, can make fitting the batt under the seat harder than on the K3

might want to add that in

The 06-07 shock does not require you to cut the battery but to remove the battery cover trim which is as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Its only if you fit other shocks like GSXR's or different model years that you have to cut away.

Nice thought but a step by step tutorial is possibly not needed. Loads of people on the forum have done this swap and many including myself refered to the link below from svrider forum. It's very detailed and easy to follow. Have a read

More detailed than 55 pages of step by step instructions, various rider/weight shock setting sugestions, discussion and tips from different people who've fitted them? Good luck to you fella!

Seriously though, If you want to do it then go ahead. It can't do any harm to have another point of view. But I'd take an hour to read through the whole thread as there's some decent stuff in there.
