Default 03 Daytona 600 with less than 4000 miles - Buy?

Should I buy at £1600 with no MOT, no Tax. Looks great.

mot not needed but its nice to know your bikes road legal, if you really like it.. why dont you say to him/her if they mot it and it pass's you'l buy it off them maybe and make a deal? not sure how much road tax would be, not riden one but i think they sound and look great

congrats on the new bike soon

They are lovely bikes I also want one will be my next bike after my restriction runs its course but on the mot front I would be dubious as I would mot a bike/car if I was selling as to get the best price possible.
If you know a lot about bikes give it a propa check over see if you think it will pass or get someone to do it for you.
Still you could use the lack of mot as a good bidding point for a couple of hundred of the price..

Providing it hasn't been in a bump or dropped with genuine mileage it has to be a bargain.
If you decide not to have it PM me

Value it like any other used bike. How many owners, any history to prove that mileage, and a good check over.Look at the consumables-----Tyres Chain &Sprockets Brakes.Do they need doing and do they match the mileage?Any damage? If it all checks out then buy it.

If the mileage is real and it's in good condition and not a Cat C etc. then it sounds like a Brucey Bargain.

Thanks for the comments. The bike is genuine 1 owner who is a mate. Only concern really was tyres being 10 years old. It has been on paddock stands all its life. Seat height a little higher than my curvy. It does sound amazing though. Was limited to short blast up and down his private road.

Get it drop the oil coolant and ditch the tyres and refresh the old girl. Does sound like a great buy!

I was an inch away from buying a 650, why the 650? MUCH more reliable, the 600's are dogged with problems (just search daytona 600 problem on google and it's like a Saxo owners club...just one thing after another) but even the 650 had loads of irritating little problems. It's ultimately what made me stick with the SV as I know it'll start every time.

ALTHOUGH...if you can afford to buy it and keep your SV at the same time, I say why not, might be a diamond in the rough.
