So basically I need to change my front tyre ASAP and want to know the best place in Bournemouth/Poole, also I know it's frowned upon but could I mix my tyres until the end of the month? I have some awful dunlops on at the moment and want to put power pilots on but only the front needs doing and can only afford the front

Just mix and don't go around thinking your a motoGP rider you'll be fine. Normally it's the curve of the rubber that can be different but for commuting etc you won't notice it.

Ideally you'd change both at the same time for something new, because they'll both feel about the same. If you can't afford to do that, then just change the one you need to and be aware that the bike's not in a perfect state of balance. Which shouldn't be a massive loss if at the moment you have 2 shot tyres

My back one isn't shot haha it was new about 1000 miles ago but as I'm just back from a bike accident I'm taking it steady and definately not gonna be hammering the bike

Bare in mind aswell that grip levels are going to be different per tyre. So when I say slow it down I mean it! Don't want the front folding under you or the rear overtaking you!
Alternatively you can do what my mate does. Buy 1 and pin it everywhere without thinking :P |

As for tyres the only place I've used in btown was motorcycle trade in's as I was close by and got a puncture. Price was ok and they were hospitable. That was a few years back mind and the last time I ever had tyres fitted as I buy and fit my own now. Much cheaper.

Motorcycle trade ins is your best bet probably mate, the guys there are a friendly bunch. they might still have an offer on tyres so check out their site.
Otherwise you are pretty limited, there is Crescent in charminster or Honda at wallisdown (TW@s in my opinion) and Poole motorcycles on fernside road, moore speed racing in alder road. can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head. also, i had to change my back recently due to a puncture but swapped both out and kept the front as a spare just in case, may be worth doing that |
