Default Which vehicle tracker?

Who has one and how do you rate it? I've seen a few I'm interested in...namely the Datatool TrackKing and the Mtrack. The latter is wireless and runs on it's own battery etc...

thoughts?

(please don't tell me they're useless and to simply buy a thick chain, I know they really, really aren't)

All of the posts related to trackers that I have seen, have all ended up never seeing their bike again.

Therefore I would save your money and buy a thicker chain. Sorry.

Physical deterrent is more effective than a tracker.
If you want one, there is a reason biketrac cost a bit

the biketrac looks a good option, using GPS and RF.

With costs like that it's very off putting, for me. A good chunk of money to pay out every year 'just in case'.
If i had a limited edition/one off bike like an S1000RR HP4, then i'd definitely have one.

Forgive me if I am wrong but isn't there a small device you can buy that activates your phone if the bike is disturbed. Price and practicality I don't know about but if you research it might be a cheaper option if used in conjunction with a good heavy chain it would be OK.
Trackers come in various guises from the basic[which is normal]meaning you notify them after the bike has been stolen. We have one fitted to a specific truck which is expensive and you have to press a release before moving the vehicle, this sends a message to the tracker supplier authorising the movement but to be honest it is a pain in the rse. This type immobilises the fuel supply after 30 seconds if not authorised in addition to notifying the tracker people of an unauthorised movement but as you can lift and carry a motorbike I can't see it being of any benefit
